A great TEAM effort on & off the pitch by the boys & parents on kitchen duty today. They started with a great intensity & instantly put Long Eaton onto the back foot with a first ever try scored by Euan to start the scoring off.

Real areas of strength today were the support play, rucking & off loading in the tackle. We kept the ball moving & attacked space. A few more straighter running lines & we might have scored even more tries.

We scored two more tries before half time through JB & Harry. We went into half time at 3 tries each after some sloppy tackling let their 10 in for a couple of tries.

We re-grouped at half time & looked to keep working on supporting the ball carrier & tackling legs. This worked well in the 2nd half as Long Eaton only scored 1 try whilst we scored 7 more tries with Harry getting his second try, George, Charlie P, Charlie B scoring one each & Euan scoring two more tries for a hat trick.

The tackling award this week went to JB for a cracking 11 tackles during the game & Man of the match went to Jack for his fantastic support lines & constant running up & down the pitch. This is something that Jack has worked hard at for the past year & he really reaped the award this week.

We have training next week followed by an away game at Southwell on Sunday 21st October.
